Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault in Reading on Saturday (12/2).

Between 12pm and 12.20pm, the victim, aged in their late teens, was walking under the underpass by the Hook and Tackle pub on Katesgrove Lane where they were followed by an unknown man.

They crossed the roundabout at the pedestrian crossing on Bridge Street into the island in the middle of the road.

The man did the same and while on the island repeatedly groped the victim.

The victim was distressed and repeatedly told the offender to stop.

An unknown woman then joined them on the island and appeared concerned about the situation.

The victim then managed to run away and hide from the offender.

The offender is described as a lighter-skinned mixed race man, aged in his late fifties to early sixties, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, of large build with short dark brown hair and dark stubble.

He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt, a leather biker jacket, ripped blue jeans and a wedding ring.

The witness is described as a dark-skinned woman, aged in her thirties, about 5ft 8ins tall with black hair.
