RCN Carnival Dance-A-Thon

Hello family.


Below is the Terms for our Carnival dance-a-thon. Official flyer with information on how to get tickets, where it will be held and more information on who to contact will be available very soon, as we have more exciting news to share with you all over the coming weeks.


DANCE-A-THON RULES:


1. General Rules • Participants must be 18 years or older to register. • A minimum fundraising pledge is required for participation. • Carnival-themed attire is encouraged, but must be comfortable and safe for dancing. • No inappropriate or hazardous dance moves are allowed. • All participants must follow event staff instructions. • The event is drug- and alcohol-free.


2. Fundraising Rules • Participants can collect pledges as one-time donations or per-hour sponsorships. • Donations must be submitted before or on the day of the event. • Fundraising progress can be tracked online if applicable. • Prizes will be awarded for top fundraisers. 3. Dance Rules • Participants must dance continuously, with designated break times provided by organizers. • Exceeding break limits or stopping dancing may result in elimination. • Dance styles should align with the carnival theme but remain safe and respectful. • Event staff and judges will monitor for continuous movement. • Short breaks (e.g., 5-10 minutes per hour) will be provided for rest and hydration.


4. Elimination Rules • Participants will be eliminated if they fail to keep dancing or take unauthorized breaks. • Inappropriate behavior or failure to follow rules will result in disqualification. • Judges’ decisions are final in cases of disputes or rule violations.


5. Safety Rules • Hydration stations will be available throughout the event. • Medical personnel will be present for emergencies. • If feeling unwell, participants must seek assistance immediately. • Warm-up and cool-down sessions are encouraged to prevent injury.


6. Awards and Recognition • Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: • “Longest Dancing Participant” • “Best Dance Energy” • “Most Funds Raised” • “Best Carnival Costume” • Certificates will be given to all participants who complete a minimum set time.


7. Code of Conduct • Participants must be respectful to others and event staff. • Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. • The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant who violates the rules. • Have fun and embrace the carnival spirit while supporting a great cause!
