*PUBLIC NEWS*CHANGES TO CENTRAL CLUB*

Updated: Oct 1

There have been changes made to the Reading Central Club project by Redline. This means more planning hurdles to jump through and a longer delay for work to be completed and the building to be reopened again.

You can view the application by typing reference 221364 into the council’s planning portal.

The changes involve reconfiguration of the proposed flats. There will still be a total of 17 built, but now five of these will be designated affordable rather than 2. According to a council document, The external changes are limited to the creation of a new entrance on the western elevation, and would not have any adverse impacts on the design. The internal arrangements improve the quality of the proposed units in terms of outlook, privacy and light.
