Fire crews along with Ambulance and Police were called at around 11 am this morning Thursday 13 May to report a fire at the Hospital.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service sent five fire engines to the Hospital it unclear at this time how the fire was started at the hospital and where the fire was..
Some members of NHS staff and patients were treated by South Central Ambulance crews for smoke inhalation at the scene, it's not clear as yet how the fire was started at the hospital, but Thames Valley Police have confirmed a 31-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the fire, police would not comment if the person was a patient at the hospital.
Fire investigation officers from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue service have started to look into how the fire was started.
