Fire at Oxford Rd Reading At 6.48am on Friday, 9 July, we received reports of a fire at a domestic property on Prospect Mews, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Dee Road Fire Stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire in a first floor flat. Crews rescued one person using a triple extension ladder and placed them into the care of South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel before ventilating the property.
Crews were on the scene for about one hour and 15 minutes.
