Bike ride to help raise money for Tharel’s medical bills.
Tharel Thompson came to the United Kingdom to visit his father's family. He visited the Walkabout Club in Reading and was viciously attacked.
He underwent two surgeries and was in an induced coma for 2 1/2 weeks.
He also had a stroke because of the injury and has been left with a left weak side. He was a patient at the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Royal Berkshire Hospital. He is currently in a rehabilitation facility where he is by God's grace trying to walk.
Tharel calls upon the compassionate community of Reading for continued support. His story, a testament to the power of collective encouragement and resilience, has become a beacon of hope for many. With Tharel's move to rehab, he emphasizes the importance of unity and generosity from Reading’s residents and everyone else.
In this crucial time, Tharel's appeal to the community is clear: let's rally together to provide all possible support, embodying the true spirit of Reading and the UK in general.
In order to help raise money, on the 24th August 2024, Moses Heidenbluth and Richard Witt will be taking part in a bike ride from Reading to Barbados High Commission in London. This journey is approximately a 50 mile ride.
There is still a long road to travel for Tharel, to full recovery, so please donate generously to the Tharel Thompson Medical Fund. No amount is too small, and every penny will make a significant difference in Tharel's journey to recovery.
Every penny counts, and every act of kindness matters.
Let's stand together as a community, together, we can give Tharel the chance to heal and rebuild.
