Reading Festival returns for another year of live music this week, from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 August.
Please be aware that with large numbers of people expected to attend the festival over the course of the weekend, the roads around the town will be busier than usual. Therefore, we advise both festival goers and local residents to plan any journeys in advance.
You will see an increased police presence in the area throughout the festival; as well as a number of other highly visible, and some less visible, security measures.
For those attending the event, organisers Festival Republic, will be publishing advice throughout on their website and social media channels.
Residents, visitors and local business are encouraged to continue to be our extra eyes and ears. If you see something that doesn’t look right, please let us know and we will look into your concerns.
In an emergency, always call 999, or in a non-emergency call 101 or visit our website.
To keep up to date with our policing activity throughout Reading Festival, you can follow our dedicated X account @TVP_ReadingFest.
