'Examining Reading's Central Club Black History Memorial: kings, queens, colonialism & rebellion'
Wednesday 24 March at 7.30pm
On zoom Alan Howard, the artist who created the mural, will be explaining aspects of the mural design and making links and connections with the Transatlantic slave trade. He will be joined by Miriam Rose who will examine how the transatlantic slave trade’s legacy continues with international finance and resource extraction in the global south. The event will be chaired by Dave Richards from RISC.
