Winter Watch

Are you on a low income, over 60, have young children, disability or health concern, struggling financially or unable to live independently?

Reading Borough Council’s Winter Watch Fuel Energy Advisor can help you stay safe and warm during the coldest parts of the year. The scheme is for council, private, owner-occupiers and housing association residents in Reading.


Call 0118 937 3747 for help with energy suppliers, cheaper tariffs, smart meters, DIY draught-proofing to help reduce heat loss, help setting timers and night storage heaters and lots more.

White goods and furniture, grants available

Did you know there are grants available to help you purchase white goods and furniture?
