EVENT - BAME COMMUNTIES GET TOGETHER TONIGHT ! - IMMIGRATION AWARENESS

Updated: Feb 18, 2022

BAME Communities are getting together to verbally voice their opinions about the new Bill that was passed in November 2022.

Pirti Patel (above) shared the news about Clause 9 – “Notice of decision to deprive a person of citizenship”. This means that one could be stripped of their British citizenship without warning under a proposed rule change quietly added to the nationality and borders bill.

Frances Webber, the vice-chair of the Institute of Race Relations, said: “This amendment sends the message that certain citizens, despite being born and brought up in the UK and having no other home, remain migrants in this country. Their citizenship, and therefore all their rights, are precarious and contingent.

Tonight !! At 6.30pm in the Civic Offices there will be the opportunity for all concerned to put their opinions across.
If you say nothing then please consider... What if this bill was carried out and happened to a member of your family !
Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting tonight @ 6.30pm
